The Greater Manchester Joint Training Partnership (GMJTP) has been formed, in partnership with the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnerships to support Greater Manchester health and social care services, to deliver the national Transforming Care agenda.

The Greater Manchester Transforming Care Partnership includes all the ten areas’ Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authorities and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.

The ambition for Greater Manchester is to provide high quality services for its citizens.  One of the ways to ensure that Greater Manchester is providing high quality support to people with learning disabilities, autism or both is through ensuring that care professionals, individuals and families have access to quality training. The training provided by the GM JTP has been developed in response to the feedback received from health and social care practitioners, commissioners, care providers, self-advocates, and their families.

The GM JTP mission is to deliver information, training and guidance to providers, individuals and families so that they are better able to meet the needs of children and adults with learning disabilities, autism or both.

All training is subsidised by, and linked to the Greater Manchester Transforming Care Partnership and its developments including the Greater Manchester Flexible Purchasing System (FPS).
